Bacterial nanomachine laboratory

Welcome to the “Bacterial nanomachine” laboratory at the Bio21 Molecular Science and Biotechnology Institute, University of Melbourne, Australia. We are interested in host-pathogen interaction particularly, how bacterial and viral pathogens utilize complex molecular machines to mediate infection. We use a range of structural and cell biology techniques to elucidate the structure and function of these molecular machines in situ, in their native context, inside ‘living’ cells.
